NOTES: La Doña is a study for La Doña of the Square Peg. This painting is the first to use Roman numerals to record the date as its catalog number. The image itself came to while noticing a flickering fluorescent light bulb in a dark restroom. The flashes from the light were reflecting off of mauve shiny tiles which illuminated the space like some opening of a portal.
